Updating Comic Con page to include new entries for SDCC 2019.
August 12, 2018:
I'm embarrassed to admit defeat - that I will never be the regular blogger that i had intended to be. While this site continues to grow in fits and spurts, I had hoped to create something rather substantial, but it takes time and dedication: both things that I've been missing in the past couple of years.
But this site will remain as a part-time place for my thoughts, trying out story ideas for size, and also the perennial San Diego Comic Con repository for my experiences and photos.
So, this is not the end, but a new beginning, as 'they' say.
For my reader(s), I hope you gently view, kindly judge, my blog!
- Be Excellent To Each Other.
January 17, 2018:
Happy New Year!
If you've noticed, I've made some changes including the new header image above. I finally figured out that all the photos were just distracting and decided to simplify, but also add a descriptive byline. As you can see, what i wrote, and will write, will fall within the scribblings, bibblings, babblings and ramblings from my head.
I will continue to work on the site design as well as content as the year progresses.
Also note that I have added a sub-tab called "What Ravi Wrote". This is where I'll place the various different topics and subject matter. However, I'll also be developing a separate photo page of cosplayers and swag from the various conventions I've attended. I look forward to sharing more of my adventures, especially this year. More to come.
Until the next update and bulletin, Be Excellent to Each Other!

September 19, 2017:
I can't believe that SDCC has been over for almost two whole months and all I've got to show for it is one mediocre post. I should hang my head in shame ... which I'm doing right now if you could only see me.
I will be prepping some material this weekend and hope to post, as well as include a small video or two.
in the meantime, I added a "Reflections" page to add personal thoughts and opinions that are outside Convention and other reviews. Further, these would be personal thoughts that do not fall within the 'Fiction' genre, no matter how outlandish my writing is.
Hope you enjoy my latest entry, as i reflect upon my SciFi fandom which also includes my attempted insight into the idea of the Heroic trio concept and its application to the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises. This is far from a full academic work, but I hope that it proves enlightening and interesting to read. Be warned, it's not short.
That's it for now.
Be Excellent to Each Other!

July 25, 2017: San Diego Comic Con 2017 is actually over, and I'm missing it already. To be fair, this year was a little weird for more, something about recovering from an unlucky string of illnesses sapped my energy and preparation this year. But overall, I actually did have a great time. Unfortunately, I was not able to focus on cosplayers this year so I only have a few photos this year. I'm still compiling all of my photos and videos and will be posting heavily this weekend. i may get a page or two up before then, so we'll see how that goes.
Recovering from illness during SDCC wasn't the only thing that happened, though: i think I also broke my Panasonic camcorder on Friday, so I'm noticing that the focus isn't maintained through all of the video I've reviewed so far. I hope to clean some of it up, but you've been forewarned.
Also this weekend, I hope to review an independent comic that appeals to a more diverse audience. i'm looking forward to that and that review will be posted in my Review section.
That's it for now - thanks for stopping by!
July 7, 2017: It's been many, many moons since my last post. In fact, it's been a few months since I wrote a single word. Alas, there's a lot to update you all in terms of SDCC. With only 12 days to go, my brother and I are just starting to plan. We'll see how we do. I'll post more details on the Comic Con page later this weekend.
P.S. I'm also very sad to hear that Stan Lee's wife, Joan Lee, passed away recently. Our sincerest condolences to Stan and his family.
March 13, 2017: I DID IT!! I'm in. I was able to get my SDCC Badges in record time and it was probably the smoothest transaction yet. More details on my Comic Con page.
March 6, 2017: SDCC Returning Registration date has been posted. I've added a short info entry to my Comic Con section. Enjoy!
February 27, 2017: After some thought, I did some minor editing of my writing prompt for Dreams. Mostly for grammar, but also to help the overall flow of this mini writing project. Hope people enjoy it. I'm also working on cleaning up my Rock Paper Scissors concert write-up. It's not really a review, but it's very difficult to follow. My plan is to reorganize it into sections: Overall concert; playlist with names of performers; then photographs with comments. Hopefully it won't take me more than a couple of weeks to clean it up proper.
By the way, still no word on SDCC badge process. I will update as soon as I hear.
February 23, 2017: I have spent hours and weeks trying to convert my live coverage of the incredible Peter Gabriel and Sting concert at the Hollywood Bowl last year. I recorded my comments, notes, and photos on MS OneNote, but never suspected that transferring it to a webpage builder like Weebly would be such a pain in the tuchus. But, finally I have finished the transfer - it's not pretty, but it's here,
So, please take a look and let me know your thoughts - whether you attended the concert or wished you did - I don't think I was ever that into a concert.
February 15, 2017: After a wonderful Valentine's Day with the family and my sweetie, I felt like my writing pursuits needed some love as well. I just wrote a brief writing prompt response about dreams. Please check it out on y Writing / Fiction tab. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
February 5, 2017: It's been several months since my last update and I have much to do. I have at least one short story I'm in the final stages of submitting to journals and, possibly, an anthology or two (Just need a couple more readers willing to provide constructive feedback); another short story that has been rejected three times that I'm going back to the well and re-working; job feedback focusing on helping to clarify my communication which can only help my writing; and more. So, my plan is to have this site completely updated by the end of the month. So much to do, so many grand ideas, and so little time. Wish me luck. Speaking of which: Happy Year of the Rooster!
July 25, 2016: I can't believe it's over already, but the 2016 San Diego Comic Con is officially over and now it's time to return to our regular lives. Postings will be updated later this evening.
July 23, 2016; postings to my Convention/Comic Con page are being made. I'm about a day behind and photos and videos won't be uploaded until Monday evening. Postings include Ballroom 20 and Hall H panels as well as some general San Diego Comic Con experiences.
